The Veterinary Technology Program at Massasoit Community College is now accepting applications for a program Clinical Veterinarian.
This is a part-time, hourly position for the Fall 2017 semester. In conjunction with staff veterinary technicians, the Clinical Veterinarian is responsible for providing highest quality veterinary care for program animals located on the Canton campus. This position provides routine animal care, weekly in-person health checks, consult by phone and email, and comprehensive medical record documentation. Clear and effective communication with program support staff is essential. This position is also responsible for providing spay/neuter surgical services and post-operative care during the Veterinary Technology Program’s Anesthesia & Surgery course, as well as supervision during sedated/anesthetic procedures. This position provides on call emergency services as needed.

Dates: Fall 2017 semester, September - December
Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine or equivalent degree from an accredited university
Veterinary license in good standing with the MVMA state veterinary board
A minimum of 1 year post graduate and recent work experience, related to position needs
Hourly rate: $65.00/hour, (approximately 10 hours/week) not to exceed 400 total hours within the semester
