The Division of Neonatology at Children’s Mercy Kansas City is seeking a board-certified neonatologist to join three other neonatologists and serve as the Medical Director of the level III NICU at Via Christi Hospital, St. Joseph campus in Wichita, Kansas. The duties of the position will involve both leadership and clinical service, with great opportunities for outreach and education. The ideal candidate will have experience in leadership and administration. Educational opportunities are available, as Via Christi Hospital is home to the “second largest in the country” Family Medicine Residency program. The patient population is diverse in this busy practice, which draws from a large region in western Kansas.
Teleconferencing allows for participation in Children’s Mercy educational activities and conferences. Colleagues in Kansas City are accessible for professional discussions and consultation.
The Children’s Mercy – Kansas City Division of Neonatology includes 33 neonatologists with a wide spectrum of interests, providing opportunity for candidates to find collaboration and support for an individualized professional career pathway. We provide clinical care in community level II-III NICUs and our regional referral level IV NICU.
