Department/School: Westchester Educational Opportunity Center (WEOC)
Responsibilities: The Allied Health (Certified Nursing Aide/Home Health Aide) program seeks a dynamic, highly motivated, energetic and skilled educator with strong nursing and educational credentials to teach a diverse student population. Responsibilities include the instruction, discipline and guidance of students in the assigned area as well as completing all course related work as needed. The educator must ensure that the quality of instruction provided in the classroom is consistent with the program objectives and industry standards.
Qualifications: A Master’s Degree in Nursing is required. The successful candidate must be a licensed nurse with a current NYS Professional Nurse Registration and two years nursing experience. A minimum of one year of nursing experience in the provision of home health care services and of two years of experience caring for the elderly and/or chronically ill is also required. A minimum of two years of experience teaching nurse aides in a residential health care facility is preferred; or three years of experience teaching nursing or related fields preferred. S/he must have some familiarity incorporating technology into instruction and the ability to apply clinical nursing practice/experiences to the classroom environment. Please provide availability for day and evening classes.

Hourly Rate of Pay: $72.60/hour. No benefits. This position is fully grant funded.
