The Global Ethics Office at State Street is seeking Global Subject Matter experts (SME) in the areas of:
Conflicts of Interest.
Ethics and Business Practices
The successful candidates will support the people at State Street with education, guidance and consultation in the Personal Trading to protect State Street, our clients and employees against insider trading risks. The successful candidates will monitor transactions processed by our offshore shared service centers, deal and respond with violations and potential violations, create learning material and analyze metrics and data that inform the Company about emerging operating trends. In this role, subject matter professionals should expect to become exposed to commercial matters such as contracting, trading operations and existing and emerging State Street service offerings. In addition, it is expected that these Global Subject Matter professionals will also keep in tune with regulatory requirements, emerging marketplace and workplace practices outside the Company.
This position is perfect for an individual who has already developed strong subject matter expertise in personal account dealing or control room monitoringand desires to expand their career into other functional areas in the Ethics Office.
Maintain current global knowledge of regulatory and enforcement trends in these areas of expertise
Build and maintain relationships with professional bodies, as appropriate
Conduct case resolution for transactions and issues that arise in the personal account dealing area:
Identify the facts
Conduct research into the issue
Interact with Compliance, Enforcement and Business Unit leaders, as appropriate
Develop materials and tools that support education and guidance in these subject matter areas
Consult with and educate business unit and functional teams:
Periodic reporting on trend analysis, including "outside-in" perspectives
Share best practices
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 6 years relevant experience in one or more of the above-mentioned subject matter areas.
Business results orientation – experience driving results in time-sensitive environments
Excellent communication skills.
Fluency in English is required. Mandarin and Cantonese is preferred.
Ability to collaborate and influence colleagues with data.
Familiarity with regulated environments. Preference will be given to those with knowledge of financial services regulations
