The AP supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day to day activities within the department. Provides direct supervision to all AP staff including, but not limited to input on hiring, firing, disciplinary actions and workloads. The supervisor performs various tasks including but not limited to AP weekly and monthly reporting, month end closing, Kronos time keeping. Partners with various departments such as Vendor Services, IT, and Supply Chain Management. Responsible for developing and maintaining detailed process manuals for cross training the A/P department so that all team members can fill in when needed.
Minimum Education Requirements
Associates Degree in Accounting or Business, preferred.
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum Experience Requirements
3 years accounts payable experience, 2 years supervisory experience.
Lawson Accounts Payable background.
Image Now background, preferred.
Computer Competency – Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
Position Duties (essential functions denoted with an * )
Provides input in hiring, terminating, training and performance reviews of all A/P associates. Supervise all daily activities of the document processors, expeditors and new hire associates. Manages workloads and handles conflict resolution. Acts as a liaison with various internal departments and vendors. Meets with the AP team monthly to discuss concerns, productivity and changes that are occurring within the department or within Centura that will affect the AP team. Follow-up on training provided to all AP associates.*
Responsible for month end closing and bi weekly Kronos time keeping. Responsible for ensuring that all credit holds are resolved in a timely manner and the accounts monitored to eliminate future credit hold situations. Develops and maintains procedure manual for all AP processes.*
Follow up on training provided for approving associates for the Imagenow System.*
Creates reviews and maintains monthly productivity reports. Responsible for daily error report and weekly running of AP175.*
