The UMKC School of Nursing and Health Studies seeks a 9 month non-tenure track or tenure-track faculty member for our undergraduate nursing program. The School offers a pre-licensure BSN, RN to BSN, MSN, DNP and PhD programs.

The faculty selected for this position will be expected to: a) teach in an undergraduate BSN program (full-time, 9 mos appointment); b) teach in the Fundamentals nursing course and other related adult health courses; c) provide service appropriate to the position; d) advance the goals of the School of Nursing and Health Studies and the University of Missouri-Kansas City's Strategic Plan; e) remain current in clinical practice; and f) provide guidance in the application of technology to nursing. Assistant or Associate Professors will also be expected to either initiate or continue a program of research. The School seeks faculty of regional or national prominence to teach in our innovative programs. Accredited by the Commission for Collegiate Nursing Education, the School values excellence in teaching, scholarship, clinical practice and service.
an earned masters degree in nursing or related field for a Clinical Instructor rank or Clinical Assistant Professor rank; earned PhD or DNP in nursing or related field for a Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor rank or Assistant or Associate Professor;
experience teaching adult health nursing;
a record of quality teaching and service appropriate to the rank;
expertise in applying technology, including computer skills, to nursing;
eligibility for licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Missouri;
excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and,
ability to work in teams.
experience in teaching at the university level;
experience in interdisciplinary education and health/life sciences education,
history of research, presentations and publications (Assistant or Associate Professor)
