We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a FGP Billing Supervisor.
In this role, the successful candidate coordinates all aspects of accounts receivable in defined FGP(s). Prepares financial and/or operational analyses and reports, and audits current procedures to monitor and improve efficiency of operations. Reviews and advises physicians and staff with regard to local and national coding and reimbursement policies. The supervisor will work closely with the Manager of professional Billing Operation and vendors to coordinate the overall revenue functions and maximize cash flow for her/his delegated practices.
Provide, oversee, and/or coordinate the provision of training for new and existing staff on applicable operating policies, protocols, systems and procedures, standards, and techniques
Participate in corrective actions in response to variances and trends
Ensure that the activities of the professional billing teams are conducted in a manner that is consistent with overall Central Billing Office protocol, and are in compliance with Federal, State, and payer regulations, guidelines, and requirements
Assist with the development of strategic plans and goals for continued improvement and service leverage acting as key leader to implement plans
Assist with the ongoing management of systems
Direct and review analyses, reporting, key performance indicators, and operational metrics
Build relationships with, and maintain contact, with practices and Ambulatory Operations to obtain and analyze additional information to document and improve billings
Manage and review daily AR-related, operational and production reports
Create action plans as needed
Develop, implement and ensure compliance with billing policies and procedures
Work with the credentialing and managed care teams to resolve A/R issues
Work with the Assistant Director to carry out supervisory responsibilities including managing staff performance, work allocation, Quality Assurance, salary planning, training, development, hiring and placement
Serve as operational liaison with billing vendors and monitor their metrics and performance improvements
Performs other related duties as assigned
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant work experience. Ability to multi-task and prioritize. Good communication, interpersonal and computer skills. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff and patients. Detail oriented with high level of accuracy for reviewing charge batch submissions, preparing and presenting analyses. Stays up to date with industry requirements. Knowledge of medical terminology required. Familiar with standard office equipment.
EPIC experience is preferred.
