Wolfe Institute for the Humanities and the Latin & Greek Institute (LGI). The incumbent coordinates logistics for the Institutes' events, assists with the management of the main reception area, prepares relevant reports and serves as a liaison to other College departments.The Administrative Executive Coordinator performs the following duties:- Assist with the management of the reception area. Provide basic information, instructions, and materials as requested by students, faculty, and others who contact the department. * Coordinate logistics and program planning for events, including the LGI Summer Program and lectures from distinguished speakers and visiting scholars. Organize correspondence, travel and related paperwork for events. * Assist the institute directors with promoting the Institutes and related communications, both internally and externally. * Facilitate communication with academic departments within the college and other support offices, and distributes information on behalf of the institute directors. * Supervise College Assistants and student workers. * Collects and maintains records for the Institutes, including archive material and statistical data. * Assist associated faculty of the LGI with preparing teaching materials and support student admissions and registration processes. * Coordinate paperwork for faculty appointments for the LGI. * Assist with budgeting and planning for the Wolfe Institute.QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree required. * Experience in event planning, and administrative support in a higher-education context is preferred * Familiarity with CUNYfirst is strongly preferred. * Experience engaging with a broad range of ethnic, cultural, socioeconomic, geographic, and ability backgrounds preferredCUNY TITLE OVERVIEWProvides administrative support to a Campus or University Executive. * Coordinates office operations such as meetings, communications, events, and reports. * Maintains extensive files and records for the unit. * Maintains accurate calendars, schedules, and key dates. * Collects data for, prepares, and distributes reports and presentations using appropriate technology.
