Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sr Database Analyst.
In this role, the successful candidate The Senior Database Analyst will work with the Military Family Clinic team, a fast paced clinical team in the Department of Psychiatry at NYULMC. Under the supervision of the Clinic's Director and Assistant Director, the Senior Database Analyst will be responsible for all aspects of data management related to the clinic's activities.
Design and maintain databases to support all clinics activities.
Develop GUI interfaces and program additional functionality to assist users in gathering and inputting data.
Perform data tracking and quality assurance on a weekly basis.
Conduct queries and reports for statistical analysis and reporting purposes.
Perform system backups and recovery.
Provide consultation and training sessions to database users.
Create a Data Management Plan
Participate in Case Report Form design
Ensure smooth integration into the database of data acquired from disparate sources
Migrate several legacy systems into EDW
Produce data listings, summary tables and graphics for interim and final analyses as well as publications/reports.
Manage user requests and access permissions to clinics folders and files, establish new user accounts and privileges
Ensure that external and internal regulations and policies governing data management are met, including regulations concerning security, auditability, and privacy.
Troubleshooting IT problems at NYULMC, interfacing with MCIT EPIC and EDW teams as well as with external IT support personnel as needed.
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a BA or BS degree in Computer Science or related field Advanced knowledge of databases and software technologies Requires an in depth understanding of data collection, data flow management, data quality, data technology, dataset delivery, data archiving and data standards. In depth knowledge of clinical and research operations, quality management Has a thorough knowledge and understanding of FDA, ICH, and GCP regulations, guidelines, policies and practices for the conduct of clinical studies, especially as related to computer systems, data handling and processing. Experience in training users in operation of software MS Access database management and programming (forms creation and Visual Basic programming) Overseeing TELEform (OCR Forms) data entry, program and perform data quality checks Cardiff TELEform experience and LiquidOffice software experience. MS SQL-Server database management and programming or an equivalent combination of education and experience BusinessObjects experience Experience with large datasets from structured/complex questionnaires and databases Ability to provide security administration, backup/recovery planning, and maintenance Ability to multitask, work independently with minimal supervision and proceed without specific direction to organize and work out all techniques involved Demonstrated strong teamwork and organizational skills, and outstanding interpersonal skills
