The masters level Counseling Psychologist, provides individual, couples, and group counseling services to CWU students. The counselor works closely with a collaborative team of mental health and medical professionals.
- Provide individual, couples and group counseling, assessment and crisis intervention services to students, both independently and in consultation and collaboration with other counselors, medical providers, and the Director of the Clinic. - Design, implement, and evaluate developmental outreach programs, presentations, workshops and other activities to facilitate student growth. - Provide training and supervision to interns, peer educators, and others as requested. - Participate in approved research and program evaluation activities. - Conduct continuing education programs, seminars, and workshops. - Maintain client records in an electronic healthcare record, and enter statistical data as required by the Clinic and applicable laws and regulations. - Provide consultation and review of cases with campus partners, in compliance with confidentiality laws. This may be provided as part of a case consultation or assisting with a crisis. - Takes leadership roles in clinic initiatives or programs as assigned by supervisor.

Master's degree in mental health discipline.
Licensed or eligible to be licensed as a LMHC, MFT or Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Washington by start date.
Experience and proven competency working with multicultural and other diverse populations.
Ability to provide brief and focused counseling.
Experience facilitating counseling groups.
Experience providing risk assessment and crisis response.
Experience working as part of a collaborative, team-based approach to clinical services in a fast-paced work setting.
Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and group communication skills.
Excellent problem solving skills.
Two years of counseling experience as a licensed professional.
Experience working in a college or university counseling center (practicum/internship may be included).
Experience and expertise providing a variety of workshops, presentations and training in student and staff-development.
Experience supervising graduate students and interns.
Experience or education providing consultation services to student groups, faculty/staff, parents, family members and community members as needed.
Training and experience in using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Working Conditions: Work is performed in an integrated medical and counseling clinic. Exposure to communicable disease and infection may occur. The majority of the work will occur within this setting with frequent in-person interactions. It is essential to be able to remain at a desk/computer work station for prolonged periods of time, perform extensive data entry and other computer-related tasks and create/maintain filing systems for departmental records. Some evening or weekend work and/or occasional travel may be required. This position works in an integrated medical and counseling clinic.
