The position will enhance the research profile of the department and collaborate with researchers in other applied fields.
1. Research- The successful candidate must have an established research agenda and a clear potential to secure external funding.
2. Teaching- The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses in the fall and spring semester. The courses taught would support the graduate and undergraduate programs.
3. Service- The successful applicant will have limited service responsibilities to the department and service to the profession.
PhD in data science, statistics or operations research, or related field, by August 15, 2018.
An established research program leading to a national reputation in scholarly activity.
Dedication to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in statistics.
Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.
