Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Research Associate II for the Population Science department at the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey. The Research Associate II will coordinate the conduct of highly specialized and technical epidemiologic research for the population science research group, under the direction of the Principal Investigator. Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Assists the Professor and study staff on all ongoing research.
Assists the study and Professor with analyzing data and preparing manuscripts, reports, and presentations.
Assists the Professor with the preparation of grant proposals, based on the research conducted.
Assists with IRB submissions of ongoing research projects.
Gives oral presentations of the research.
Assists with teaching graduate and undergraduate students.
Home Location Campus: Downtown New Brunswick
Experience with longitudinal, mixed and latent statistical models, is preferred.
Proficiency and knowledge of multiple statistical software packages is preferred, including SAS, SPSS and STATA.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills.
Must be computer literate with proficiency and working knowledge of database and reporting tools, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
