Providence is calling a Security Officer (Security, Variable, 1.0) to Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla, Washington. In this position you will:
Provide a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, staff, volunteers, and associated medical staff.
Patrol the facility and grounds, enforce security policies and procedures, and maintain general order.
Communicate with public safety agencies, monitor alarm systems, and conduct emergency response drills (fire and infant abduction).
Respond to emergency calls following appropriate procedures.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Training as a police or security officer in the military, state, federal and/or private agency
Current healthcare security officer certification from the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
Law enforcement or security related experience, including experience working within a medical facility
