This growth represents a transformation of the organization and you will play a significant role in helping us to achieve our goals as we move from being centered in the Yakima Valley to serving the entire Northwest.
Our Chief Credit Officer will be a key member of Solarity's leadership team. Your expertise will be relied upon to help us achieve both tactical and strategic progress toward our goals.
We will be asking for your contributions across a broad spectrum of activity. This will include assuring the on-going effectiveness of the lending engine of the credit union by providing strategy, oversight and support of our efforts to become a premier lender in the State of Washington. You will ensure the safety and soundness of our organization by providing analysis and insights into credit and collections functions. You will also be asked to lay the structural foundation by which all lending departments are able to reach their production targets while producing excellent credit quality.
A day in the life of our Chief Credit Officer...
As a Chief Credit Officer with Solarity, your typical day may include:
Making significant strategic and tactical contributions to the formulation, development, implementation, and administration of Credit Union strategy, business goals, and objectives.
Developing and implementing effective operating plans, projects, policies, and budgets for Credit Quality, Collections, and Consumer Lending departments, including new product development, ensuring risk mitigation and sound operating practices.
Driving constant improvement in both Employee Engagement Scores and Net Promoter Scores.
Ensuring services to members, business lines, and staffs are delivered promptly, professionally and efficiently.
Leading, coaching, mentoring, and developing direct reports and others.
Establishing and maintaining commitments and professional business relationships with employees, members, vendors, the community, professional organizations, and Credit Union trade organizations.

What we need from you...
Minimum of five years of banking experience including lending, credit analysis, and management experience.
An ability to think, act, and plan strategically.
Thorough knowledge of business needs and structures, business lending requirements, and commercial loan structuring.
Detailed knowledge of collections, underwriting, and portfolio management.
Familiarity with credit union loan, deposit, and services produces and applicable policies and standards.
In-depth understanding of business and management principles, economic principles, and accounting practices.
Familiarity with government regulations and legal requirements involving lending, collections, insurance, and related functions.
