The Children's Center at Groton is seeking a full time EEC certified Infant/Toddler teacher. Our school is seeking teachers who have a strong belief in a child centered approach to learning, who have a strong image of a competent child, and understand how to co-construct emergent curriculum with children. We believe that children deserve to spend their days in a calm, aesthetically pleasing environment.
Our school chooses to exceed EEC's ratio requirements, creating a calm and pleasant environment for both students and teachers. Students remain in the same classroom for an entire calendar year, moving together to the next age group when our "school year" turns over every September. At our school, you will not experience students coming and going from your classroom throughout the year, but will have plenty of time to truly get to know and teach the children through thoughtful curriculum.
Candidates must have flexibility between the hours of 7:30am-6pm.
Candidates must have EEC certification for Infant/Toddler, and a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
We have a new, very competitive salary scale based on education and experience in the field of ECE.

We love, care for, and educate children ages 6 weeks through 6 years of age. We take pride in the high teacher to student ratios at our school, choosing to exceed the required number of teachers in all classrooms. We believe additional teachers allow us to provide the kind of curriculum and one on one attention that young children need to learn and grow successfully. Children progress through our ...school "cohort" style- further supporting essential bonds with their peers. Our four beautiful classrooms, each with their own age appropriate playground/exterior patio space accommodate each age group's individual needs. We are a 501(c)(3) non profit organization.
