The PSR Instructor provides comprehensive habilitation services to consumers with mental health issues. The Instructor serves as a member of the interdisciplinary team, responsible for facilitating groups/ individual services; with a focus on independent living skills, interpersonal communication skills, medication training, symptom management, coping skills, peer support, and community integration and documents all consumer service. Instructor actively engages clients throughout the day in activities to enhance their independence and quality of life.
MA in Psychology or related field. One year experience working with mental health clients preferred. Valid Illinois driver’s license and be willing to drive agency vehicles. Must pass TABE, Criminal Background Check and Nurse’s Aide Registry. Computer skills required.
