The Administrative Admissions Assistant, Physician Assistant Studies Program for the Chapman University Crean College of Health and Behavioral Sciences is a non-exempt, staff position which reports to the Associate Director of Operations. This position is located at the Irvine Rinker Campus.
The Administrative Admissions Assistant works with the Program Director to develop recruitment plans, admission and registration for new student processes.The incumbent serves as the primary resource for prospective students, providing guidance on program admission requirements and information. Working jointly with Program Director, the Admissions Assistant will evaluate application materials and make recommendations based on qualitative and quantitative analyses. Serves as liaison across the university to the enrollment management departments, supporting the Physician Assistant Studies Program. Supports special events such as open houses, orientation, graduate fairs and admit luncheons.Perform other duties as assigned.

Specific Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum two years' working experience of administrative support, preferably in recruitment and admission processes of graduate programs. Strong analytical skills to evaluate trends, systemic factors that influence enrollment decisions and prospective student population, and advocate for innovative recruitment and outreach strategies that attract the most competitive candidates. Understanding of marketing principles and practices with the ability to apply them and enhance the recruiting efforts. Demonstrated ability to work independently and evaluate data, access alternatives, formulate logical recommendations and decisions.
General Job Requirements: Strong computer skills in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, database, internet and electronic mail software, preferably of Microsoft Office Suite applications. Technical ability to learn and use enterprise software. Ability to use standard office equipment and knowledge of current office practices and procedures. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and work with diverse individuals and groups at all organizational levels, both within and outside the University. Interpersonal skills to interact with the campus community, including applicants, students, faculty, and staff. Ability to organize and prioritize multiple and complex tasks and work on multiple projects simultaneously, completing projects and tasks accurately and efficiently, under pressure and with interruptions, achieving goals and deadlines. Ability to present Chapman University and the assigned graduate programs in a positive and persuasive manner. Demonstrated tact and diplomacy skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Desired: Experience in interpreting budgetary and statistical data and producing high quality spreadsheets and reports.
