Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Assessment Coordinator to provide support to the Graduate School of Education (GSE) and report directly to the Dean. This position will work across all academic programs to create infrastructure of the official assessment records for current and former students, academic program assessments and management of databases that track relevant assessment data. Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Leads the development and implementation of the GSE's Comprehensive Assessment System.
Serves as the liaison between the electronic software staff (e.g., LiveText and edTPA) and the GSE.
Assists program faculty in developing and creating relevant assessment rubrics and templates that align with the unit assessment measures and GSE's conceptual framework.
Provides technical assistance to program faculty to assist them in aligning their programs with the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) program review requirements and accreditation bodies (Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation, CAEP), and other relevant national standards and the implementation of edTPA and Rutgers assessment requirements.
Assists program faculty in ensuring that their program assessments are consistent with GSE's mission and conceptual framework for professional education programs.
Works collaboratively with program faculty and advisors to ensure that relevant data is accurately collected, analyzed, and reported to internal and external accreditation agencies.
Assists the associate deans, department chairs, faculty directors, staff and program faculty with the preparation of relevant program review and accreditation reports and documents.
Develops Relevant LiveText and edTPA Training Manuals, Materials, and Online Resources for Student, Faculty, and Staff.
Trains faculty/staff assessment facilitators, trains and supervises student electronic portfolio facilitators, and provides technical assistance as well as instructional assistance to faculty, staff, and students.
Oversees initial entry of program and unit data in assessment system and works collaboratively with the faculty and staff towards alignment of program materials in the assessment system.
Completes various other duties and tasks as assigned.

A master's degree in educational administration, educational psychology, higher education, adult education, or a related field, along with a minimum of four years of experience in administration and some prior supervisory experience preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of teacher education programs, professional education licensing and certification requirements, understanding of the complexity of working in a university/college setting in collaboration with relevant state agencies, and competency with Microsoft applications required.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and technology skills required.
Experience in working with and providing professional development to a diverse population of students, faculty, and staff required.
Experience in basic statistical analysis or be willing to learn.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, superb interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt or modify his/her oral and written presentations to the developmental level and needs of his/her audience.
Requires knowledge of elementary, secondary, vocational, charter, private and parochial schools, school districts, NJ State regulations governing public, private education.
Knowledge of NJ resources, cities/towns/ counties, its municipalities and its public and private education advocacy breakdown.
