Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Data Warehouse / Business Intelligence Developer. In this role, the successful candidate Excellent coding skills with an emphasis on Java and the Spring Framework. Adherent of test-driven development and Agile methodologies. Proficient in SQL and relational database design. Web UI development with HTML5 and JQuery. Experience with scripting languages. Knowledge of Linux (Solaris, Unix).Strong communication skills.Experience with open source projects is a plus
Work on all phases of the software development life cycle from requirements analysis, design, coding to acceptance testing and documentation.
Working on any of these phases for the Division of Educational Informatics projects as needed.
Innovation and exploration of new technologies is also fundamental to the position.
Performs other duties as assigned.
To qualify you must have a four (4) year Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline and at least 1 years of experience.
Proficiency in SQL required.
Professional experience with ETL concepts and processes required.
Knowledge of Query tuning and use of query hints & indexes preferred.
Strong knowledge of data visualization techniques and dashboard design preferred.
Professional Experience building dashboards using Tableau or similar BI tools preferred.
Business Intelligence (BI) experience including:
Data Warehousing concepts
Data Modeling concepts
