We have an opportunity for a Senior Financial Crime Compliance Consultant to provide a senior level of support to the Financial Crime Compliance Manager in the delivery, maintenance and enhancements of controls in the prevention of all aspects of financial crime across the M&G Group of companies.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Support the Financial Crime Compliance Manager in the implementation of processes and controls to support the delivery of all first line activities for the FCC * To work as a wider team in delivering all requirements of M&G's financial crime policies * To oversee the due diligence processes on all relevant business relationships, clients, transactions, suppliers and distributors * To look for and recommend any efficiencies that could be gained in current activity * To assist in implementation of all emerging regulations and legislation * Ensure controls in place to detect and prevent fraud are working, delivered and are sufficient for business activity * Ensuring that controls in place to prevent breaches of sanctions regimes are delivered and are sufficient for business activity * Assist in day to day oversight of any third parties * Identify and escalate potential high risk triggers * Maintain Management Information (MI) data in an accurate and clear manner for utilisation in monthly reports * To act as a deputy for the Financial Crime Compliance Manager * Maintain an up to date knowledge of financial crime matters * Champion and promote M&G's culture
What are we looking for?
Ideally, you will hold a recognised industry qualification(s) in one of the following; FCC, AML, Fraud, Sanctions, AB&C.
It is required for you to have sound knowledge of all areas of financial crime and a good understanding of US, UK and European AML regulatory and legal environments and ideally understand their impact on an Investment Manager along with having an understanding of UK Crime Law and regulations.
We are looking for you to have financial services experience and extensive knowledge of know your customer and client due diligence requirements. You will also have experience in interpreting and implementing procedures to comply with policy requirements relating to financial crime controls.
You will ideally show the following skills and attributes:
* A demonstrated working knowledge of global financial crime regulatory and legal requirements, specifically in respect of specifically in respect of Know Your Customer (KYC)/ customer due diligence requirements, client name screening and transaction monitoring. * Ability to identify and analyse complex financial crime risks on behalf of the FCC Manager, to make recommendations to appropriate escalation points. * Innovative and forward thinking to promote the FCC strategy and * Takes ownership and responsibility of their own work with little supervision or coaching, with a proven track record of being able to deliver high quality work and acting as a role model for the rest of the team. * Excellent written and communication skills, communicating succinctly with senior stakeholders.
