The Carleton College Department of Biology invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level, to start September 1, 2018. We seek candidates with a Ph. D. in physiology or a related field, and a strong commitment to teaching undergraduates in a liberal arts environment. Teaching responsibilities will include: an upper-level course in physiological ecology with laboratory, participating in the team-taught Introductory Biology series, and a course in an area of the candidate’s expertise. The department also expects the candidate to develop an active on-campus research program with undergraduate students. Research facilities and start-up funds will be provided. Carleton College is a highly selective liberal arts college with about 2000 undergraduates. We are particularly interested in candidates committed to teaching a diverse student body.
