The Arabic Speaking International Case Coordinator will be responsible for:
Assisting with the intake and ongoing coordination of international patients and to facilitate assistance for their needs/concerns.
Acquiring the necessary and complete information to adequately screen patients for acceptance, to ensure that international patients are oriented regarding what to expect while receiving treatment at Children's Hospital, and to facilitate assistance for all needs.
Serving as the primary point of contact for international patients and families, Embassies, and referring physicians to obtain demographic, financial and medical information for determination of acceptability.
Helping to create a smooth arrival, and facilitating the patient/family stay to ensure a patient-centered experience, addressing such issues as complex scheduling, coordination of care, access to concierge services, and supporting inpatient stays and repatriation to their countries.
Interacting with medical director(s)/and designated Departmental staff regarding acceptance of patients and facilitating clinical review of case by the appropriate clinical team(s).
Assisting foreign patients with negotiation of internal systems such as financial evaluation, insurance, billing etc.
Communicating proficiently in English and a second language.
To qualify, you must have:
A Bachelor's degree in International Business/Relations, foreign languages, Health Administration or a closely related field.
One year experience working with international cultures. Healthcare and customer service experience is strongly preferred.
Written and verbal fluency in Arabic & English required and additional languages strongly preferred.
Familiarity with institutional policies and procedures. Requires diplomacy and good independent judgment. Must deal with sensitive issues with discretion and confidentiality.
