RDX is seeking Database Operations Center (DOC) Technicians to work in our Warrendale, PA headquarters. Must be able to work all shifts.

Database operations Center (DOC) technicians are in charge of monitoring critical database (DB) and operating system (OS) elements and engaging in proactive DB and OS systems monitoring. Troubleshooting is a daily task for a database operations center technician as they monitor the applications, databases, and operating systems. They also check CPU performances, space, backup processes and database statuses. A database operations center technician works regularly with customers and must be able to troubleshoot all problems that may arise. Along with having the technical skills it is required to have customer service skills as well. The DOC works with customers on a daily basis by phone, and proper phone etiquette is a requirement. These technicians generally work full time in an office setting, although overtime may be required depending on the needs of their organization. These individuals' work hours vary depending on the needs of their company. Sitting for long periods of time is often required for database operations center technicians
Database Operations Center (DOC) Technician Tasks: •Implement, maintain, and repair various DBMS, and remote access protocols. •Create reports on up time, CPU / memory usage, database utilization, and other key metrics. •Monitor automated and end user incident and outage reporting, troubleshoot, and resolve problems. •Provide direct customer support when required.
