•Coordinates the care and services for patients treated within the Critical Care & Intermediate Care Units •Promotes and enforces departmental compliance with general safety and infection control standards •Ensures effective and efficient patient care •Assures patient satisfaction goals, clinical goals and quality standards are met •Develops and implements processes to continually improve operational effectiveness and financial performance for inpatient nursing units
Supervision/Management: •Directs, coordinates, and supervises the Nurse Managers within the Critical Care & Intermediate Care Units and Centralized Monitoring •Evaluates and provides coaching to employees within scope of responsibility •Continuously monitors patient and employee satisfaction
Budget: •Oversees budget development, implementation, and compliance for areas within scope of responsibility
Liaison: •Serves as a liaison between staff, physicians, patients, and family members
Reporting: •Prepares and presents operational and financial reports/projects as required/requested
Education: •Stay abreast of changes in Nursing and Healthcare
Regulation: •Adheres to NMHS/NMMC Policies/Procedures/Guidelines •Complies with applicable Local/State/Federal policies/procedures/guideline/regulations/laws/statues
Leadership: •Directs, plans, and oversees the day-to-day operations of Critical Care & Intermediate Care nursing units and Centralized Monitoring •Develops annual goals and strategic initiatives for inpatient nursing units •Evaluates and provides coaching for all employees within scope of responsibility •Reviews budget for Critical Care & Intermediate Care nursing units and Centralized Monitoring •Evaluates and provides coaching for all employees within scope of responsibility •Develops/implements/evaluates performance improvement activities to measure, assess and improve patient care •Assures compliance with productivity targets for inpatient nursing units

•Master’s Degree in Nursing or Health Administration; required oMust be obtained within 18 months of accepting position •Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Mississippi Board of Nursing; required •Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a leadership role; required oKnowledgeable in the management of a nurse driven Vascular Access Team/Cardiology services; preferred oExtensive knowledge of Nursing Practice, Joint Commission, and CMS; preferred •Excellent organizational and communication (written and verbal) skills; required •Working knowledge of budgeting, financial analysis, goal setting, and personnel management; preferred •Working knowledge of computers and computer software (i.e. Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, etc.); required •Interaction with a patient population ranging from adolescents to geriatrics; required •Excellent interpersonal skills; required
