We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Associate Research Scientist.
The Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at NYU Langone Medical Center seeks to recruit a qualified Research Scientist. The incumbent will work directly on research projects led by the Chair of the Department, Helen Egger, MD and contribute to the development and implementation management of research protocols. Dr. Eggers research focuses on the developmental epidemiology and developmental neuroscience of early childhood psychiatric symptoms and disorders with a focus on anxiety, autism, and other emotional disorders.
Contribute to development and implementation of research protocol and future studies
Contribute to the development of training and intervention materials
Train and supervise research assistants
Supervise research and clinical program associates
Contribute to the development of grant applications
Conduct statistical analyses, as needed
Contribute to interpretation of study findings
To qualify you must have a Ph.D. in Clinical or Developmental Psychology, Epidemiology, or related field.
A minimum of three years experience in clinical trials and preventive and clinical interventions required.
Experience in developmental psychopathology, preventive and clinical interventions with young children and their families
Experience in training and supervising BA- and MA-level research staff
Strong research skills in efficacy and effectiveness studies
Strong background in methodology and statistics preferred
Experience in data management, statistical analyses, and managing longitudinal clinical trials
Experience working with SASS and SPSS
Experience in database management and data collection
Experience in grant writing preferred
Successful relevant research experience in contributing to externally peer-reviewed grant applications and to conducting externally funded research protocols.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
