As the Controller, you will report to the Vice President of Finance and IT. The position supervises a team of entry and mid-level accounting professionals.
Responsibilities of this position will include:
Overseeing all accounting operations, including accounts receivable/billing, collections, payroll, accounts payable, financial reporting and analysis, policy and procedures, and GAAP
Prepares lead schedules for external auditors to ensure timely, compliant annual audit to include A-133 audit
Ensures effective internal controls both in the accounting office and in the field business offices
Leads the month end closing process
Provides exemplary customer service to internal customers and works collaboratively to meet their operating goals
Monitors branch business services activities to include cash processing, accounts receivable, semimonthly electronic funds processing and revenue posting to insure compliance with internal controls
Facilitates state and federal grant reporting

Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting
CPA or CPA Candidate
7+ years of progressive financial management and managerial experience
Thorough knowledge of GAAP
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Hands on professional with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
Able to work flexible schedule to include some nights and weekends
Experience supervising accounting staff
Proficient in Microsoft applications, specifically Excel
Experience with Proprietary software (i.e. Great Plains, SGA, Protivity)
