Under general direction of the MSO, the incumbent's responsibilities include administrative support for the program chair and manager, but is specifically assigned to support the Campus Entry Level Writing Requirement (ELWR) Program and to serve as staff representative for the ELWR to students, faculty, and staff. In addition, the incumbent provides advising, program administration, planning, and budgetary support to the Writing Program.
Comprehensive understanding of university-level academic advising.
Knowledge of UC academic policies, programs, administrative units, and range of student services.
Ability to advise and counsel students from educationally diverse backgrounds.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to set priorities and to complete work under the pressure of deadlines, multiple responsibilities and duties.
