Description ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGER Key Functions and Expected Performances: Supervisor for administrative office staff Including purchasing, capital assets, other financial activities, educational program activities, & general administrative services. Maintain departmental staff payroll & personnel processing Assistant/support for Administrative Officer Assist in overseeing spending compliance across sponsored & non-sponsored funds within the department, including assisting in budget recons & meeting with faculty, the grants manager & AO. Responsible for providing various reporting as assigned by AO. Participate in management meetings, Serve as departmental Financial Unit Manager Approver for all of the following: Concur, eprocurement, ePAC, online software store, check requests, etimesheets, Talent Central, PCARD, & SkyVU UG student employee recruitment through Hire-A-Dore account Training Grant Support Process trainee stipends, Graduate Award Forms (GAF), Benefit Action Form (BAF) Monthly ledger reconciliation and budget summary sheet revision [AM] Maintain educational videos for departmental courses Other duties as assigned Other Skills and Abilities needed: Strong organizational & analytical skills Excellent interpersonal written & oral communications skills Ability to plan, develop, and coordinate multiple projects Demonstrated ability to work both as a member of a team & independently Demonstrated ability to work under the pressure of hard deadlines & competing priorities Experience working in a higher education/academic setting highly preferred Supervisory experience preferred Software / Vanderbilt Systems Knowledge MS Office proficiency (including Word, Excel & Access), Adobe Professional Proficient user of Vanderbilt systems including, but not limited to eProcurement, Concur, TalentCentral/Taleo, ePac, eTimesheets, Business Objects/BI Launch systems.
