Providence is calling a Registered Nurse - Lactation Specialist(Women's Health Services Department, Part Time, 0.5FTE, Day Shifts) to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Provide lactation education, assessment, problem identification, and suggest interventions for problem resolution to staff and inpatient and outpatient women.
Demonstrate strong teaching and communication skills.
Demonstrate decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Washington State
3 years registered nursing experience in maternal child setting in an acute care setting
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Current International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)
