The Assistant Director of Diversity reports to the Associate Dean & Director for the Office for Graduate Student Development and Diversity and is responsible for working collaboratively across the Graduate School Program's leadership team and with key partners across the university and externally to increase the diversity of the student body (recruitment and retention). Will infuse the core values of diversity and inclusion into the Graduate School student experiences.
Works with other schools and departments within Yale and represents the Graduate School and the Dean in those situations. Serves as liaison with key University offices (General Counsel, Provost, President, FAS Dean's Office, Yale College Dean's Office, etc.) on diversity issues affecting the Graduate School.

Required Skill/ability 1: Proven ability working in one or more of the following areas: diversity, equity and/or inclusion efforts.
Required Skill/ability 2: Ability to travel regularly out of state, including overnight stays, for recruitment activities (U.S. and Puerto Rico). Heavy travel during the Fall semester. Ability to work nights and weekends as required.

Preferred Education, Experience and Skills: Ph.D. preferred. Website management experience.
Required Licenses Or Certifications:
Master's degree and three years of experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
