The University of Minnesota Crookston Intercollegiate Athletics seeks an Assistant Softball Coach (Pitching) /Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach. This position will report to the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and is a 75% time, 9 month, annually renewable position with full benefits. The position has dual responsibilities: Assistant Coach in Softball (Pitching) & Women's Soccer. The assistant coach will assist both head coaches in student recruiting and retention efforts; coaches student athletes and foster their skill development; assists in coaching plans and implementation at practices and competitions; provides for students’ safety, health and well being; complies with NCAA, NSIC and university policies; provides sound fiscal management; assists in equipment oversight, scheduling, travel planning; assists in off-season programs and athlete development; and assists in program communication and fundraising efforts with the head coaches. The Assistant Softball Coach (pitching)/Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach will have primary soccer duties in the fall and softball duties in the winter and spring with secondary responsibilities throughout the year with both programs including weight lifting, recruiting and academic monitoring.
A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master's degree is strongly preferred. Required qualifications include: demonstrated effectiveness coaching fastpitch pitchers and soccer including coaching experience. Preferred qualifications include: pitching experience in softball; playing experience in soccer at the collegiate level and/or coaching experience at the collegiate level.
